Cool, I don't object to that. Until speaking the Truth only applies to same-sex relationships etc. If Mauceri really is standing up for her faith, why wasn't she fired from the show years ago, standing up against implied incest, divorce, Wicca etc? Why did she decide homosexuality was when she was going to open her mouth and stand as a Christian speaking Truth?

You don't know that she didn't. Her character, a minor one, may not have had any interactions with all the other stuff so you wouldn't see it on screen. I think you have unfairly judged her by the assumed cynical "what if's" that are normally judgments cast against Christians by gay activists.

I knew hoity toity Christians who did hold to moral standards all throughout my secular career. They didn't get fired. They didn't get invited to the parties either :) .

Plus, when I was in England, you said you were persecuted for your beliefs on the job ... right? I certainly heard more than several who claimed such. It isn't just the heterosexually inclined that get persecuted.

going on the point I made at the LINC conference (European type of Exodus conference, just not as flash cos we've got no cash!), cool, this lady stood up for her faith as a Christian and wanted her Christian character to speak the Truth. Cool, I don't object to that. Until speaking the Truth only applies to same-sex relationships etc. If Mauceri really is standing up for her faith, why wasn't she fired from the show years ago, standing up against implied incest, divorce, Wicca etc? Or maybe she was just fired, for whatever other reason, and is crying religious discrimination?
When Christians cry religious discrimination when it's homosexuality that is the one issue they have decided to take a stand on in the workplace, I become very suspicious of homophobia. Cos if people really are standing as Christians in the workplace, why don't they take a stand on gossip etc? And note, it's always heterosexual Christians who take this stand and face this terrible religious discrimination. Always heterosexual. I wonder why that is...?
