While i commend Gayle on her heart for other women suffering as she has, and wanting to help, i have to ask a question. Why does infidelity hurt women so much nowadays? Did King David's many wives feel hurt and betrayed when he brought in yet another one? Were they upset about it? I just don't understand monogomy. God made everything in a man desire more than one woman. Most men that is. He must want to see those who can curb their desire in deference to God's will. Making their bodies their slave, crucifying their fleshly desires daily, and not letting sin be their master. These are godly men, to be sure. As are priests who give up all sexual activity for what they believe is God's will for their lives. Watching the movie Thornbirds really broke my heart though. So much suffering. Could God really be pleased with that?

I think I would tell Gayle that she has a beautiful heart for forgiveness, but as having 2 sons in the gay life style who are great guys, without God's complete healing in her husband's life, it will be a struggle for him, and not to be niave. With prayers.

(For) Renee... terrific response! My wife, as part of our own ministry, and me with the National Coalition have experienced and heard many of the same stories that this book will recount. Our hope for Gayle Haggard's book is simple.... that it would bring to the attention of the church this large group of hurting people who are not getting significant help and in some cases are actually harmed by the church. We need our church to become a safe place for wives of men who struggle with sexual addiction, same sex attraction and infidelity. A place to be loved, encouraged and eventually healed... hopefully the first step in that process towards "safe church" will come through the exposure spouses receive by Mrs. Haggard’s book. The problem is growing and it needs our attention. Rick
