In June Exodus International hosted our 35th Freedom Conference in Irvine, CA and the 59th Love Won Out event. More than 1,100 ministry leaders, parents, pastors, and individuals seeking freedom in Jesus Christ came together for an amazing time of worship, teaching, and fellowship. As I look back, it wasn’t any one thing that stood out that made this conference spectacular. Instead, it was the fact that, all around, people were beaming with joy, hope, and the understanding that God is good! I could see it in the faces of those waiting in the lunch line, in the casual conversations that took place between teaching sessions, and even in the sharing of hurts and difficulties during our prayer times and testimonies. We are so blessed to have a God who loves us so much!
Many of you who have been a part of Exodus know we often experience lean times in the summer months. This year is no exception and, combined with the economic downturn, these next couple of months will be a significant challenge for Exodus to meet all of our commitments. But in the midst of this trial, we know that God is good – all the time! His economy is not our economy!
As I discussed this challenge with our staff we agreed to focus on these three simple truths that are both a blessing and a challenge. First, God owns everything. There is nothing that falls outside of His hand. Second, God is exceedingly generous. His fountain of blessing and goodness never, ever comes to an end. And, third, God wants each of us to participate in His generous nature because, when we do, we partake in His image and goodness.
Will you pray and ask if God would use YOU to extend His hand of generosity to our ministry during this challenging season?
Exodus is committed to encouraging, equipping, and educating the Body of Christ to address the issue of homosexuality with grace and truth. We can only do this because of God’s consistent and overwhelming goodness. Thank you for partnering with us in this work!

When I became a Christian many years ago, there was no Exodus. Then, when I learned about this new ministry forming for those dealing with same-sex attraction, it was like an answer to prayer. Down through the years I’ve watched Exodus grow and I’ve benefited from its ministry greatly. I’ve heard their critics too, of course, but I realize that criticism comes with the territory of doing what God has called you to do.
All that to say, my check is in the mail. I hope others follow suit. Of all the ministries on the front lines today, Exodus is among the most important.
