Happy 1st Blog/Facebook Birthday Exodus!

It's hard to believe we have had this blog, and complementary Facebook page, for a full year as of today! I am very glad to see this blog succeed. We had one serious attempt to have a ministry blog in the past that just didn't quite work.  So with lessons learned and the advent of social networking ... this blog took off right out of the gate! While I don't know that our blog will *ever* be a top dog blog like Instapundit (who knows really? :) ) we don't do this for "the numbers."  Regardless, I am a stats-a-holic so here are some statistical tidbits that those who do read this blog might … [Read more...]

Suspect in Puerto Rican Teen’s Murder Competent to Stand Trial

Chris recently blogged about a Puerto Rican teen that was murdered.  I ran across the below quoted article by a gay media outlet EDGE Boston (contains offensive material). I can't seem to find it being reported anywhere else.  Google News (at the time of this post) only shows one other blog with this information and they are referring to the same article.  All that to say that there isn't a whole lot of reporting going on with this tragedy but it is an important update on the situation. Puerto Rican Youth Did Not Deserve Death

A tragic story has come out of Puerto Rico reporting a gay youth was brutally murdered.  Jorge Steven Lopez was found over the weekend – decapitated, burned, and dismembered.  Many people are reporting that this was a crime simply enacted because Lopez was gay.  But, the suspect tells a different story.  According to the killer, Lopez allegedly told him to have anal sex with him and this provoked rage in the killer which ultimately resulted in Steven’s death.  Regardless of whether the killer is telling the truth or not, that excuse in no way justifies brutal murder.
