Don Schmierer Added to Letter Opposing Ugandan Anti-Homosexuality Bill

Don Schmierer has traveled all around the world and been to Uganda several times including this past spring. He just recently came back home after a few weeks of traveling and saw our email inviting him to sign the letter we sent asking Ugandan President to oppose the anti-homosexuality bill being presented there. Don's response was, "Yes, you can include my name in this very well written letter." A prominent ex-gay ministry is speaking out against a proposed law in Uganda that could criminalize anyone involved in same-sex sexual relationships and anyone knowledgeable of those affairs. Exodus International leaders said the Anti-Homosexuality Bill of 2009, introduced into the Ugandan Parliament on Oct. 14 to affirm traditional family values, discriminates against people with same-sex attraction. Ugandan Government Poised to Harshly Prosecute Homosexuals

The Ugandan government is seeking to further stigmatize and criminalize (to death or extreme punishment) people who deal with homosexuality. It seems that the government has no respect for freedom.  Especially as it pertains to free will or self-determination on what a person does with their own same sex attractions. This sweeping, hateful, public policy being promoted threatens anyone struggling with same sex attractions, and their loved ones, with death or imprisonment.
