Love Won Out, San Diego, California- Exodus International hosted its first Love Won Out conference since assuming leadership of the event from Focus on the Family. Several years prior, at a LWO conference in San Diego, this young man was participating in the protest outside the church … [Read more...]

Prayer Request for Love Won Out San Diego

Conference organizers amaze me.  All the details, logistics, care, hard work, preparation, crunch time, running the event itself... astounding.  How blessed are we that God has created wonderful souls who can do this type of ministry?  My respect for David Fountain, Leslie Chambers and Karen Eaglin is already deep but to watch them in action is a beautiful thing. This Saturday is our Love Won Out (LWO) event in San Diego so it is crunch time in "pulling it all together."  During our daily morning prayer time we spent extra time lifting up every aspect of Love Won Out to the Lord.  We want … [Read more...]

Orlando Shootings – Exodus Staff Safe But Urgent Prayer Requests

Exodus International

Dear Friends, Had a couple of people text, message and email me worried about the safety of the Exodus staff.  Rest assured, we are all personally safe.  Many of us are traveling to Birmingham today for the Love Won Out conference.  As you know we are headquartered here in Orlando but our office is actually several miles away. The gunman, as of this initial post is on the run so who knows where that will lead but thank you for your concern. We are ok. That said, we have several churches in that area and we have one friend who does actually work in the office building.  We also have … [Read more...]

From CitizenLink: Metro Church of God in Birmingham, Ala., will host the Love Won Out Conference on Nov. 7. It's the last Love Won Out event for Focus on the Family, which will turn the conference over to Exodus International in December. Gay activists are planning to protest.  Wayne Besen, founder of Truth Wins Out, claimed the sessions teach parents to "hate" their children. "Love Won Out tells young people and their families that they aren't whole and that they should and can change – which isn't true," he said. But Joe Dallas, pastoral counselor, founder of Genesis Counseling in Orange … [Read more...]
