Exodus International Releases Control of Day of Truth Back to friend Alliance Defense Fund After 4 years of supporting the Day of Truth initiative and 1 year of spearheading the effort, Exodus International is returning the event to the Alliance Defense Fund.  ADF will likely find another group to run the event or end it altogether.  Created in 2005 by the Alliance Defense Fund as a response to the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network's (GLSEN) annual Day of Silence, Day of Truth was an effort aimed at encouraging conservatively-minded teenagers to respectfully engage fellow students … [Read more...]

Don't forget that Day of Truth is this Thursday. Focus On The Family did an article on the project yesterday.  In it they quote Jeff Buchanan: Jeff Buchanan, senior director with Exodus, said it's no accident they named it the Day of Truth. "We want to talk and have the conversations and it be laced with love and grace," he said, "but we cannot steer away from the firm foundation of the Truth when we do talk about biblical sexuality." Numerous organizations are gearing up to do battle over the platform in which to influence your children. The Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN) is sponsoring the Day of Silence, which according to its website brings attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. Each year the event has grown, now with hundreds of thousands of students coming together to encourage schools and classmates to address the problem of anti-LGBT behavior. Advocate Interview Models Day of Truth Vision

Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak with Andrew Harmon, Sr. Editor of The Advocate about the upcoming Day of Truth scheduled for April 15. I have to say that Mr. Harmon was the most respectful and pleasant interview I have had with a pro-gay journalist and I truly enjoyed my conversation with him. Kevin Jennings And Some of The Other Issues At Hand

Conservatives are having field day with this one.
