This is the trailer from the documentary "Real Hope, Real Truth, Real Answers" by Tom Coy. He says that the documentary gives insight into the Christian "ex-gay" movement with footage from our Exodus Freedom Conference in 2006 (from Indiana.) The trailer features Exodus leaders Alan Chambers, James Wimbush, Christine Sneeringer and yours truly. Exodus itself did not have any editorial control over the documentary (wouldn't use the word ex-gay or the heavy emphasis on "homosexuals" as a generalization.) A few of the gay gossip blogs are in a tizzy regarding my post concerning Covenant Eyes, a faith-based software company that filters sexual content on the web. They infer that because I use such a tool that must indicate that Jesus must be a helplessly, weak entity and that Christians experiencing temptation are all white-knuckling liars. I couldn't disagree more. The Lord imparts the fruit of His Spirit, including self-control, to prepare a safe space to be able to make what I think are biblical and appropriate decisions. A while ago I wrote my testimony about how Covenant Eyes has greatly benefited my online accountability and facilitates a safe place online. I have tried various accountability software services out there and this is by far the best. I have been using their service for almost three years. Maybe longer. We at Exodus have even partnered with Covenant Eyes. All of our staff at Exodus uses the service. Many of my friends outside of Exodus use it. I even use it on my personal computer at home. Thank you Karen! *** The Love Won Out (LWO) conference at Metro Church of God in Birmingham had just under 600 attendees from 24 states including California, Colorado, New York, Pennsylvania and Washington. There were almost 60 kids in the youth/student track, which is our largest group ever. (That’s 10 percent of our audience!) Wonderful report by Dave Rasmussen (emphasis Dave.) 2009 Exodus North Central Regional Conference The North Central Region has had a Regional Conference every year since I have been involved with Exodus since 1998. This has been our largest attended Conference since then. We had 102 registered guests this year. Last year we had 80. All 8 Directors of active Exodus Ministries in the Region attended the Conference.
