From TIME's Gay Days In The Magic Kingdom: Like pretty much every child who walks up Main Street U.S.A. at Disney World for the first time, Alix, 10, and her brother Evan, 11, can barely contain their anticipation. Evan wants to ride Space Mountain. Alix is so excited, she can't even say what she wants to do. She is jumping up and down. Disney Makes Right Decision Concerning “Ex-Gay” Policy

Over the past year, PFOX worked within Disney circles to force a vote by shareholders to include "ex-gays" as a part of the Disney corporate non-discrimination policy.  Disney rejected the measure in terms that would make "landslide" seem a vast understatement (by 98%.) As stated before here and here, I don't think trying to adding another layer of identity politics to the culture war is a good idea. The language PFOX uses is confusing. PFOX Vs. Disney + Interview with Family News In Focus

Parents & Friends of Ex-Gays (PFOX) has endorsed a shareholder's move to petition Disney to add "ex-gays" to their employee non-discrimination policy. I appreciate the good heart and kind intent of the actual shareholder who brought this petition forward.  That said, I do have some concerns: 1. Christians on a Post-gay journey aren't terminally unique for time and eternity. Adopting a victim mindset of being perpetually "other," makes it tough to move beyond the labels of homosexuality at all.
