Randy Thomas on Pure Passion TV

purepassion

This interview with Pure Passion was taped five years ago. It was taped before the show went to HD and they just upgraded it to HD. I enjoyed the interview and am glad they have made it available. A *lot* of ground was covered but there are a couple of things I want to clarify. I don't believe reparative therapy model is the only answer for people who develop homosexuality and I have never been to literal "reparative therapy." However, my life circumstances fall completely in line with that theory and have been positively influenced by resources written by Dr. Nicolosi. So while that … [Read more...]

Real Hope, Real Truth, Real Answers – Documentary

This is the trailer from the documentary "Real Hope, Real Truth, Real Answers" by Tom Coy. He says that the documentary gives insight into the Christian "ex-gay" movement with footage from our Exodus Freedom Conference in 2006 (from Indiana.) The trailer features Exodus leaders Alan Chambers, James Wimbush, Christine Sneeringer and yours truly. Exodus itself did not have any editorial control over the documentary (wouldn't use the word ex-gay or the heavy emphasis on "homosexuals" as a generalization.) We also do not have editorial control of the youtube channel the video resides on … [Read more...]

A Man Moved by God – My Testimony

This testimony was written a couple of years ago and first published on Boundless under the title Same Sex Struggles and also on the main website for Exodus. --- This article is also available in Bahasa Malaysia. A Man Moved By God by Randy Thomas Fifteen years ago I was a very different man from who I am now. All of my relational, political, and social needs were defined by a worldview that fed my appetites and met my needs, albeit just temporarily. My world was centered around the idea that the unholy trinity of me-myself-and-I was sufficient to provide vision, inspiration, … [Read more...]

Rachel Maddow, Uganda & Me - By: Don Schmierer Never in a million years did I expect to see my face on MSNBC. But there I was, plain as day - white hair, tanned wrinkles, looking every bit the grandfather I am- in a photo posted on Rachel Maddow's show last night. Unbeknownst to me, she had decided to discuss a conference I spoke at in Uganda several months ago. As Ms. Maddow accurately recounted, I did go to Uganda last spring to speak at a conference about my book, An Ounce of Prevention: Preventing the Homosexual Condition in Today's Youth. In fact, I've been to Uganda many times … [Read more...]

Don Schmierer Added to Letter Opposing Ugandan Anti-Homosexuality Bill

Don Schmierer has traveled all around the world and been to Uganda several times including this past spring. He just recently came back home after a few weeks of traveling and saw our email inviting him to sign the letter we sent asking Ugandan President to oppose the anti-homosexuality bill being presented there. Don's response was, "Yes, you can include my name in this very well written letter." We went ahead and sent the letter November 16th because we felt the timing was right to do so but are very happy to add Don's name to the document today. A little more about Don, Don is the … [Read more...]
